On Friday 22nd May El Rancho Records will release ‘All My Heroes’, an acoustic version of the song by long gone and much loved Glasgow band KAIN. The single is a digital download only with all donations going directly to the Glasgow NW Food Bank.

The track was recorded in April, in isolation and in three locations by founding members Ian Crawford (Vocals) and Jon Yuill (Guitar) and Gordon Wyper (Trumpet). A long-distance catch up (Sweden-Scotland) on Facebook, led to a collective feeling that this song had a particular resonance, one which people may take some strength from in these difficult times.

‘All My Heroes’ was musically influenced by the band Love’s ‘Forever Changes’ album. It’s about the illusion of fame and how we all need someone to look up to whether or not the image is real”.

‘All My Heroes’ is the second single ever to be released by the band who had a notorious run on the Scottish music scene in the early 2000’s. After releasing their first single ‘Baby Am Amazed’ KAIN, signed a major record deal with Warner Brothers only to find every ill-fated music industry cliche awaiting them! Time is a healer, and good things come to those who wait... 17 years!

All money raised from the single will go directly to the Glasgow NW Food Bank glasgownw.foodbank.org.uk/about/.

The single will also be available on all streaming platforms.
